Café Tomaselli

Old, and a "good" old at that. Very reminiscent of Greek stores in the 1970s. I had nothing to complain about, in fact I can even offer praise. From the service, to the atmosphere, to the Viennese hot chocolate which we came here for it was all quaint, calm, and even a bit humorous. Maybe my exploration of the store's menu is not intensive, but the vibe is nostalgic, and the chocolate, to be perfectly clear, was really tasty. I give it five stars because I had a "five star" time.

The cafe is stylish, old fashion ambiance and good atmosphere, think this is the main selling point, breakfast is average. It was quiet in the early morning. Very unfortunately, the waiter’s attitude was bad, he appeared impatient and even threw the change onto the table. Completely undermining the enjoyment of the dining experience.

An ancient cafe right in the middle of the old town. A bit expensive like everything in the city, but the staff will ensure you have a great time! Ambience of the cafe is very cool, you would feel like you have been teleported to ancient time. We just had coffee and snack, which were both decent. In case you are done roaming around the old town, a good spot to relax and rest!

I visited Café Tomaselli not just for the coffee but for the ambiance and the views of the courtyard area, and it did not disappoint. Sitting outside with a cappuccino and taking in the beautiful pastel-colored buildings and the lively yet relaxed feel of Salzburg was exactly what I was looking for. The café itself is charming and historic, and the outdoor seating gave me the perfect vantage point to admire this picturesque part of the city. The architecture around the courtyard is stunning, and even on an overcast day, it felt cozy and inviting. While the coffee and service were good, it was the setting and atmosphere that made the experience special. If you’re looking for a place to slow down and enjoy Salzburg’s charm, Café Tomaselli is the ideal spot. Come here for the vibe, the views, and a quiet moment in a historic and beautiful location.

The oldest cafe Salzburg with a great view of the old town. Had the popular white sausages for the first time and it was great. Try a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream, that was delicious! The pretzel and coffee were just okay. I’ll come and stay for just the relaxing view alone.
