Spectacular. Went in on a spring afternoon just as thunder rolled in - found the place full to the brim with happy faces, old and young. Waiters fast but smiling and polite, showed us to the last table with courtesy and calm. The Bohemische Bier was wonderful, helles and gemischte both rich and tasty, and then. The. Food. Sweet lord. The Schweinebraten and the Blunzengröstl were just ridiculously good. The meats were perfectly seasoned, and the secret stars of the show were the differing sauerkraut for each dish, the delicious Semmelknödel and the ridiculously deep nurturing warmth of the sauce - clearly a known favourite as I was given an extra amount to add in. As we were paying a birthday party broke out and locals and guests all joined in. Absolut Gemütlichkeit 10/10

FANTASTIC its super local, cozy. The schnitzel is perfect. Flawless. The taste is super! And the potatoes, WAO! Delicious must try!

Went there on our first day in vienna for dinner and were a bit disappointed. We had the Wiener Schnitzel & the Rahmgulasch. The Schnitzel looked extremely promising, on our plate as well as on the review pictures. Sadly, it had no crunch at all and the breading was more on the soggy side (before putting on lemon). The quality of the veal was good, sadly it lacked salt. The parsley potatoes on the side were..well exactly as one would imagine. Overall rather disappointing, especially considering the rather high price for it. It also came with a side of salad - to be honest I don’t get the vision of serving this salad on the side at all, if it does not come with a proper dressing. But maybe that’s just me. The Gulasch was also just mediocre. It lacked deepness/richness, although the meat in it was really tender & of good quality as well. The restaurant gives kind of a student pub vibe, due to the interior which is a bit chaotic. The staff was friendly. Overall, mediocre at best but with a lot of potential.

Start the night with mixed beer while looking through the menu. Decided to begin with a nice vegan soup, then the garlic bread with goose liver together with jam, have the genuine Veal Wiener Schnitzel or Sausage with sauerkraut the top off with chocolate cake with cream together with Grappa schnapps. Food is genuine and service is sincere. Great dinner in Vienna. Lots of locals and we were probably the only table as foreign tourist. Great night.

This place perfectly captures the melting pot Vienna became during the late 19th century, with a few classical dishes meeting cuisine from Bohemia as well as some modern takes on local specialities. Be prepared for some unusual tastes and textures, as well as novel interior. In winter definitely a reservation is needed, and in summer at least recommend if you want to make sure to sit inside.
