The moment you step inside, you are greeted by an incredibly charming and creative vintage train and elevator concept. The interior is wonderfully designed with fascinating industrial touches, like the large old mechanical gears displayed above the menu board and the ordering counter styled like a classic 'Portier' desk. Even the barista wears a vintage-style conductor cap, which adds such a fun and immersive touch to the fantastic atmosphere! Beyond the amazing aesthetic and cozy vibe, the coffee here is genuinely top-notch. I had a wonderfully crafted cup with perfect latte art, and the taste was incredibly smooth, rich, and deeply flavorful. They offer a great variety of both traditional Viennese coffee classics and modern specialty drinks. We also paired our drinks with their baked goods—including a hearty slice of apple pie and a delicious layered cake topped with nuts and jelly—and they were absolutely outstanding. The overall ambiance is warm, welcoming, and perfect for relaxing after a long walk around the city. Whether you're a serious coffee enthusiast or just looking for a highly photogenic spot with a great mood, Aufzug Cafe will not disappoint. I highly recommend stopping by!

This is the cutest little cafe. The coffee is great and the cakes are seriously delicious. What really blows me away is the interior, it is absolutely amazing, complete with cool old elevators, and everything just matches perfectly. Even the toilet is super unique! The staff are very friendly, and they don't charge extra for milk alternatives, which I love. It is a bit small, so if you can't find a spot right away, it is 100% worth waiting around or coming back later!

What a wonderful oasis to start my birthday celebration... such a treat!! We live relatively close and have been meaning to visit for ages... finally we kicked off my birthday celebrations yesterday... how incredibly special!!! I have always loved those wonderful antique elevators in Vienna, and what a genius idea to create a café with these beauties!!! The café is incredibly cosy, full of love for detail. The owner and crew are such kind and welcoming people, so open and patient with everyone. I enjoyed the time so much and left with a big happy dolby surround smile... looking forward to making this my go-to-favorite-happyfeeling-superspot ❤️

Splendid little cafe themed after classic elevators. They have unique little elevator booths for 2 to 4 people. But the real attraction is the food and drinks. They have an amazing Sacher Torte. Loved the affogato and iced chai latte too. Just a short stroll away from Belvedere so it's the perfect stop for your day.

I highly recommend stopping by here for a coffee, pastry, beer, or glass of wine! Coffee was delicious, I got a double espresso and my fiance got a white chocolate with milk and espresso. Staff was very kind and service was fast! Very unique place with old elevators inside from the early 20th century, from 1903 - 1935. The owner was here and is very polite and spoke to me about his old elevator collection, he currently has a total of 19 old elevators, three of them are located inside the coffee shop and you can eat/drink inside them. The entire establishment has a clean, cozy, and vintage appeal to it. I’d definitely come back next time visiting Vienna! There is a guest book that you may sign and a nice old type writer.
