The library is pretty cool if you’ve not been to a Baroque library before. It’s cool to see the old books in an elegant home. The building is gilded everywhere and has painted ceilings. There was some information about the library which was good. It’s better to buy tickets online and skip the queue at the ticket desk. They’re open ended tickets so no need to buy in advance.

Every corner of the library feels like a step back in time, making it a must-visit for history lovers and book enthusiasts alike. 🏛️ Conveniently located and impeccably preserved, the Austrian National Library is a true testament to Vienna’s dedication to culture and knowledge. An unforgettable experience!

Rarely I am blown away by something I see, but this Library is absolutely stunning. Every detail, every corner, every decoration is absolutely exquisite. The multitude of books is thus surrounded by woodworks, statues, and lavishly painted ceilings, globe maps and marble columns. This is worth every cent of the entrance fee.
