Balthasar Coffee Bar

Overall, very nice spot, but almost underwhelming. The seating outside is crowded, all tightly squeezed tables and chairs. I had the cold brew (and added a shot of oat milk), which was very delicious and also ate a vegan chocolate bun (mediocre but tasty). One thing that bothered me a bit was that you had to order inside, which just seemed a little odd to me. My friend had the iced chocolate drink, which they found to be too sweet. Finally, I'd say this is a good spot for takeaway stuff but I'm unsure if I'd come here regularly for dining in.

Amazing coffee- especially the flat white. The iced cappuccino is a nice treat. Almond croissant is also very good and flaky. I discovered this by myself and ended up bringing my family here multiple times over our trip to have the coffee.

Very stylish and modern café near Nestroyplatz. The oat milk cappuccino was creamy, with just the right level of bitterness. They even made a heart in the foam, which I rarely see with oat milk. There was a great variety of pastries to choose from, many of them vegan. The chocolate croissant was rich and moist, with the chocolate filling evenly spread throughout. I’d love to go again!

A stylish place, but the staff were rather cold and unwelcoming. The oat flat whites were far too milky — more like lattes. The carrot cake was very dry. Overall, it felt overpriced for the quality. There are many better options in Vienna.

Great selection of pastries and good coffee! This shop is very cozy but busy, people coming and going, in and out all the time. It was a little hard for me to just take my time and chill there.
