BEAULIEU Épicerie fine & Bistrot

It looks like a hidden gem, but I bet it’s well known given how crowded it was, and for a reason. We had an exquisite time at the bistro, feeling as we were somewhere in France. The quiche was delicious and the steak perfectly cooked. You can also try the wine in a jug instead of a bottle, less pricey and really tasty, especially the red wine. Good food, good atmosphere, our waiter was a bit grumpy though. I’d definitely visit again.

I don't understand how this place isn't rated higher. Great food and wonderful service during both visits! Only had a photo of the croque madame and avocado bread with goat cheese, but also tried their beef bourguignon, and small cheese platter with their warm baguette. Didn't have reservations both times, but found a seat at the bar (where we had the attention of the friendly staff), and also snagged a table for an hour before the next reservation. Despite the small kitchen for its customer capacity, you will be in and out within an hour. The little pastry and wine section was fun to peruse too.

Exquisite food in a sublime setting. We felt we were in a movie. Such a beautiful arcade and the food was even better than the location. True French style with a light fresh menu. I wish we had discovered it earlier. The best food we had in Vienna.

Fantastic French bistro. The menu claims they'll take you to France for the length of the meal and it's no lie. The lamb shank is highly recommended. The place does get really busy so reservations are recommended.

I rarely give a one star review but the way the waiter treated us today was just beyond rude. The restaurant was not busy. My friend arrived so we needed another chair and he grabbed one from an empty table and sat down beside us. Apparently this triggered WW3 in our waiter and he lost his sh*t! I don’t remember the last time I was spoken to like that but then again I don’t attend any FPÖ Bierzelt events where this behavior is probably accepted. We are not the type of people to let things slide easily. We told me how one should normally speak to guests and how one shouldn’t. He then pretended like nothing ever happened, but a tip from us for his lousy service is something that he will maybe one day get in his wildest dreams. The tarts and coffee? No idea if they were any good. Everything tasted sour after that hillbilly encounter. Adieu!
