Boxwood – The Art of Steak

The space is neat giving the feeling of elegance. We had made a reservation for three people and we shared a black angus steak with mashed potatoes, a pumpkin soup and the risotto. In the end we chose the creme brulee for dessert. Fine wines,although they did not have one of the selection that I wanted to try. The welcome at the beginning with the bread and handmade dip was pleasant. The service is polite.

This restaurant exceeded every expectation we had — and then surpassed it again. The beef tartare was, without exaggeration, the finest interpretation we have tasted in the past year. The quality of the meat was simply extraordinary — impeccably fresh, perfectly seasoned, and elevated by a balance of flavors that only true culinary mastery can achieve. For the main course, we ordered the T-bone steak, and here words nearly fail. The meat was of exceptional quality, with a depth of flavor and tenderness that is incredibly rare even in the most renowned steakhouses. Cooked to absolute perfection, it showcased both the skill of the kitchen and the excellence of their sourcing. Our sommelier and waiter, Alexander, was remarkably attentive — anticipating our preferences with precision and guiding us through the menu and wine selection with genuine expertise and charm. His service elevated the evening to an entirely different level. Impeccable service, a warm yet refined atmosphere, and truly unforgettable flavors make this restaurant stand out not only as an excellent dining experience — but as the best steak restaurant in Vienna today. It has instantly become our favorite, and we will wholeheartedly recommend it to all our friends.

This place is awesome. The waitress was pleasant and professional, and we felt welcome. The place has good vibes and is located on a quiet street with a lot of charm. The food was fantastic. Everything we ordered was so tasty, and made with care and passion. Congrats to the chef. This is one of these places with modern ideas and a somewhat unusual menu, but it is very well-made and implemented. Definitely will come back and recommend it to all my friends.

We really enjoy our visit. Friendly stuff, delicious food, Austrian wine. One star minus for the overcooked meet (chateaubriand) its taste and quality were superb. Vegetable sides were excellently flavored.
