Café Azzurro

One of my favorite restaurants! The ingredients they use are very uncommon and just elevate more "basic" dishes into something special. The prices are very reasonable for what they offer, the menu rotates every once in a while to keep it interesting! I also love the pickled vegetables you get with home made bread. We also had multiple cocktails which all were fantastic. The atmosphere is very "7nth district" and the service is great.

Nice Cafe/Restaurant and we had the loveliest and most welcoming server 🩷. Cocktails were very very good as well! Food was a little disappointing, the two starters we ordered (a very bland beef tartare that was mostly couscous and a dandelion dish with miso and parmesan that we thought was unpleasantly bitter) were just okay. However, we were brought the most delicious beet and raspberry starter on the house (pictured as well) as the kitchen made one too many and this was probably the best dish of the evening! Copperto with liver paste and kimchi fleckerl were good too! Since the food is a bit of a hit or miss, I would go again just to have a cocktail and share some small bites. Total bill was 99€ which is to be expected of this type of hipster/small plates restaurant.

I rarely write reviews—not because I lack the time or desire, but because I only feel like doing it when something truly leaves an impression on me. I hadn't been back to Azzurro in a few months, and I returned with four friends for an aperitivo because I wanted to try a winemaker they had by the glass that week. I highly appreciated the 1+1 aperitivo formula; I find it very original, with delicious, unique cocktails that don't compromise on quality. But what really stayed in my heart was the service by 'Fiorinetta' (that's how I follow her on Instagram). She didn't miss a single thing—informal yet professional, kind, and never predictable. You can really tell it's high-level, senior service. I love Vienna and many of its spots (I've been living here for 4 years), but I often notice very careless and rushed service from people who aren't professionals in the industry. I also really appreciated how welcoming they are to families and children; here too, she gave a toy car to a child without the mother even having to ask. Everything was super! I will go back soon.

It’s a nice ambient, modern and cool. Food is really interesting, specially the kimchi pasta. Just…. The prices guys… a glass of cava 8 euros? Wahnsinn. I think if u would reduce a bit the overpricing many people would come back.

Somehow just…. Irgendwas? First few times i came here i really enjoyed this place but somehow every time a little less. The food was just not it last time. The wine card is good, no complaints there :)
