On Good Friday, we had lunch during our trip to Wien. After spending an exciting and "exhausting" morning in the Belvedere Palace, we decided to "recharge our battery" before soldiering onto the military museum and Panzerhalle. The cafe culture in Wien is world famous, we picked Cafe Goldegg for logistic reason as it is handy to both the Belvedere Palace and the Arsenal precinct. We did not have to wait and a very efficient waitress led us to our table. The décor was amazing and reminded us the 19th century or early 20th century immediately. We had to try the sausage and goulash. It came with fresh bread roll. Of course we also Almdudler, coffee and apple strudel. In one word, delicious. The drinks and food were presented to us in a very orderly manner, rather than arriving all at once. The bill? It was also very palatable. Experiencing cafe culture is a must for every visitor to Wien and visiting Cafe Goldegg will not disappoint. Strongly recommended!
