Café Museum

Stopped here on a very hot day after a tour of the Opera House. The cake display was amazing and service was excellent. We had the Nougat Torte, Mango Schnitte, Sacher Torte and cream, Affogato Coffee, Viennese iced coffee, an iced chocolate, and a Turkish coffee. The cakes did not disappoint - highly recommended. The service was excellent - especially as my wife had to ask where she could buy a sewing kit to repair our son's trousers. The lovely staff gifted us a small sewing kit - service above and beyond.

A charming café right in the heart of Vienna. We chose to sit outside, soaking in the vibrant surroundings, and indulged in a wonderful Wiener mix coffee crowned with whipped milk, accompanied by delectable pastries. The Apfel Strudel was truly heavenly—possibly the best I've ever tasted, filling me with delight and nostalgia. The Sacher Torte, however, was slightly disappointing, perhaps influenced by its gluten-free recipe, but still couldn’t overshadow the overall warm and memorable experience.

Café Museum and my experience here was lovely! People around me were enjoying cards with friends, reading newspapers, and just slowing down. It felt very Viennese to someone who was new to exploring the city and cafe culture. My waiter was so kind and attentive, he made an excellent recommendation for the gluten free Kardinalschnitte, which was incredible! Not too sweet and perfect balance of flavors. I paired it with a Chai latte, which was equally as good. I loved it here and can’t wait to go back!

Café Museum Vienna is a very elegant spot with a classic Viennese charm. They offer a wide selection of baked goods, all fresh and nicely presented. The traditional Viennese breakfast is quite simple—bread and a boiled egg—but the quality is good. What really stands out are the pastries and coffee, both of which are excellent. A lovely place to relax and enjoy a true Vienna café experience

We ordered an egg Benedict, the traditional Viennese breakfast and the special - Florentine toast. The food was amazing, especially the egg Benedict. The poached eggs were perfectly made and the ham goes really well with it. The Viennese breakfast was okay, not too special but good enough. For the Florentine toast, it was okay but tasted a bit blended with only spinach and some cheese on top. The sourdough below was soggy as well. Better add some pepper on top for more flavour, but overall it’s worth trying still. The service was okay, they were all quite nice but don’t expect too much. It’s definitely on the pricier side but treat as an experience is okay.
