I truly enjoyed my experience at this cafe! Beautiful interior design, lively and cozy. The service was very efficient and kind. My waiter Alexander was superb! Many traditional Vienness dishes. Highly recommend the desserts.

Cafe Tirolerhof is a very nice cafe restaurant very close to the center of Vienna. It is a very nice place with its traditional Viennese food, service and the beauty of its classical environment. Here I chose the Viennese Schnitzel served with potato salad and called Kaiserschnitzel, and my friend chose the goulash dish. Kaiserschnitzel means the schnitzel preferred by the Austrian king. But really, this is the best of the schnitzels I went to and ate in five different places during this visit. This is a cafe restaurant that is not touristic and preferred by real Viennese people. I also tasted the goulash that my friend ate and it was also perfect. I think this is a place that you should definitely go to with its taste, service and environment.
Had to visit for the Sachertorte, but staff were not friendly and we were pretty much ignored, left standing near the door. Food was good but they need to work on the service during busy periods. I'm sure this is a great place when its not so busy but make sure you have enough staff :)
Terrible service and overall experience. We waited in line for 30 minutes starting at 12:20pm. The sign outside specifically said it closed at 2pm. When we were close to the front a man came and said the kitchen closes at 1pm but would be able to take a small group at the front, including us. At exactly 12:50, we were about to be sat. They had just sat an Austrian couple 30 seconds before us. But before they sat us, they said the kitchen is closed and we could only order dessert. We gestured to both the clock, the couple that was just sat without that same caveat and sign outside. He said that the sign is in reference to a different day (it’s not) and that despite what he said before, the kitchen is now closed. They were also incredibly rude to an Asian family, yelling as they pushed open a door, hitting them to escort another Austrian man inside ahead of the line. I’m black. Coupled with the incident with the Asian family, it’s clear what this was. I highly recommend avoiding this place if you consider yourself a POC or an ally in any way.
A very cute place for a coffee and a piece of cake. Service was excellent and very quick. The plum cake and apple strudel were delicious!
