CHEZ BERNARD

We had a lovely dinner at Chez Benard. The setting was beautiful, and the food was delicious. However, the experience ended on a disappointing note. Towards the end of our meal, we casually mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. While we weren’t expecting anything special, it felt a little sad that there was no acknowledgment from the staff. Later, one of the staff members asked where we were from. When I replied that we were from Singapore, some of the comments made came across as rude and unnecessary. Whether it was intended or not, it made us feel uncomfortable and, honestly, a little discriminated against. We chose to smile and move on, but it did leave a sour impression after what had otherwise been a wonderful evening. The food and atmosphere were excellent, but the interaction at the end unfortunately overshadowed an otherwise memorable dinner.

Had a wonderful dinner at Chez Bernard on Friday, truly the perfect way to end my trip to Vienna. The space is beautiful, warm, and cozy. The food exceeded our expectations: everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and the portions were just right. I loved every dish we ordered. The service was outstanding; our waiter guided us through the menu, helped with wine pairings, and offered great recommendations. He was incredibly attentive and friendly. 1000/10

What a perfect spot- we came to have lunch while we waited for our room to be ready at the Hotel Motto and we were blown away by the interior of the bar/restaurant. Stunning visually and then the food- perfection. I got their artichoke risotto and it was the best I ever had. Wow. The gazpacho was really nice as well. The service was fantastic as well, highly recommend

After a long flight, I arrived at the hotel exhausted and didn’t have the energy to go anywhere else, so I decided to try the hotel restaurant. Honestly, it turned out to be a great decision. The space had a really nice and interesting atmosphere, and I immediately felt glad I came. All the staff were polite, professional, and genuinely helpful. Pouya helped me choose both my food and cocktail, and his recommendations were excellent. The cocktail he made was head and shoulders above the rest — easily one of the best I’ve had. You can tell he knows exactly what he’s doing. It ended up being a really enjoyable evening and a perfect way to recover after a long trip. I definitely recommend this place.

Great experience, great service and amazing atmosphere and location. As we arrived a bit in advance, the manager let us sit at the bar while waiting with some drinks for the table. The table itself was in a perfect position, close to the fireplace, and the overall experience was really nice. Our waiter was kind, very precise and always available to fulfill our requests. The food also great, the ingredients looked fresh and well presented.
