Reviews
We had dinner for two on a Friday night and it took a long time for my friend to get a table, he even had to register for the waiting list. The place was full on a late Friday evening. Service was good, the kind of young, friendly, colorful and professional staff. The interior design is a view to behold, combining classic architecture (decorated high ceiling) with more modern furnishing and attention to detail (hard wood tables). They have a good selection of meat and fish dishes to share as well as deserts. The food was exquisite, signifying a really good chef and top quality ingredients. The dishes also rise up to be true fusion between Japanese and Italian cuisines. We had following dishes and they were all delicious: - Lingua alla vitello tonnato (calf tongue with tuna mousse) - Tonno crudo (blue fin tuna form Sicily) - Stone bass alla brace with water spinach and trout caviar - Kakuni (braised pork belly) with polenta -Purin (Japanese pudding) for dessert. The staff was also pet friendly and even offered to bring water to my doggo and they did so in a proper bowl. However, I have to give less than maximum stars for the atmosphere. While the lighting was perfect for dinner (warm light bulbs) and the tables were at a decent distance from each other, they have the classic issue: the level of noise is too high, making a relaxing conversation very difficult. If they would do something about this issue, it would an irreproachable, perfect dining experience! While it is not a cheap place to eat out, the experience makes it worth it! Also a very good and accessible location, this place is a must try. I would like to come back again and try more of their amazing dishes, but I would ask about a time when the place is less full and hopefully more quiet.
4.7/5 My favorite was the iberico pork belly, but the bluefin tuna crudo and beef carpaccio were also fantastic. Udon cacio e pepe was good, but nothing crazy. Tiramiso is also amazing! Highly recommend. Price not to crazy for such quality ingredients
Had a phenomenal meal here, everything was fantastic. Had the tuna crudo, the pork and the cacio e pepe udon. The tiramisu was one of the best I have had. Service was great and so is the atmosphere. Their miso butter and sourdough bread is to die for.
Incredible food. Would’ve never expected these flavor combinations. Don’t go expecting traditional food. Its literally a mix of both cultures and we totally agreed it was one of the best food experiences we’ve had. We sat in stools in front of the chefs and saw everything. Great attention to detail and special service as we sat in front of the head chef. Gave us a complete rundown of plates before trying them out. Wonderful and highly recommended if you’re in Vienna.
We reserved the counter seat and got seated right beside the serving table, so we get to see what dishes were being ordered frequently and what all dishes look like (they all looks so good 🤤) I can highly recommend the XO Beef Carpaccio, every bites were a treat to your tongue and your nose (because of the wasabi😂), loved it. Iberico Charsiu was so high quality, very tasty too! I don’t recommend the Udon unfortunately, it tastes one-dimensional and we got bored pretty quickly… we asked for some chilli oil so we can finish it. Tiramisu and the bread was okay, nothing to write home about. Still! I will definitely come back here to try more dishes when I visit Vienna next time. I love how the chefs prepared all the dishes with care and passion.
