My visit to the Danube Tower (Donauturm) in Vienna was truly amazing and unforgettable! The tower offers a complete experience, combining breathtaking views of the city with fun and a touch of adrenaline. From the top, the view is absolutely incredible — you can see the whole city of Vienna, the Danube River, Donauinsel, and even the surrounding areas. On clear days, the visibility is impressive, and during sunset the light creates a magical atmosphere. The observation deck is well designed, safe, and spacious, perfect for taking memorable photos. I also really enjoyed the slide experience, which adds a perfect dose of excitement and fun! 🎢 It’s a unique activity — combining the thrill of height with spectacular views, all in a safe and well-managed environment. The rotating restaurant is another highlight — you can enjoy a meal while the entire city slowly turns beneath you. The staff were friendly, organized, and always ready to help. The tower is easy to reach by public transport, and the surrounding park area is beautiful for a relaxing walk. I highly recommend visiting the Danube Tower — it’s one of those places you simply must see in Vienna! A perfect mix of views, excitement, and unforgettable memories.
Very nice viewing platform, though a bit pricey. Definitely recommend booking tickets ahead as you get to skip the queue. It's a bit out of the way, but views are gorgeous! The revolving cafe is very nice as well, especially if you get a window table. Beautiful views and delicious cake!
Worth a visit if you want to see the best panoramic view of Vienna. We went around sunset so we could have some transition and night photos. The lift up is very fast so even if you are claustrophobic, it's non-issue. There is a restaurant but advance bookings are recommended. And there's a cafe which can also be busy.
Café and restaurant were closed for events but views are superb, although the wind made it feel very cold on the outdoor observation deck in early January. The slide looks very scary.
Visiting the Donauturm was absolutely worth it. Considering we are in Vienna, the entrance price is surprisingly affordable, and in my opinion it fully justifies the experience. I usually visit skyscrapers and towers in almost every city I travel to, and I can honestly say this one has something special. It is not just a simple tower with a viewpoint on top. One of the most unique features is the rotating bar. You can sit comfortably, order food or drinks, and while you enjoy them, the entire floor slowly rotates, offering a complete 360 degree view over Vienna. Without even moving from your seat, you get to see the whole city, which is a fantastic experience. I also know there is a restaurant at the very top with a similar rotating concept, even though I did not personally visit it. Another highlight is the slide. For an additional cost of around 5 euros, you can slide down through a semi transparent structure where you can see outside while descending. Being partially suspended in the void adds a real thrill and a nice touch of adrenaline. It is fun, exciting, and definitely something you do not find in most towers. There is also a bar area, and the food quality was excellent. We had an aperitif with French fries, and for what we tried, everything was very good. The service was also outstanding. The waiters were professional, elegant, friendly, and attentive, which really elevated the overall experience. There is not much more to add because the place speaks for itself. For the price, especially when compared to observation towers in other major cities, the Donauturm is absolutely worth visiting. It offers great views, unique experiences, excellent service, and something memorable beyond just looking at the city from above.
