Der Dachboden

I’ve been here a couple of times, it’s one of the first and best rooftop bars in Vienna. However, this time I experienced something extremely unfriendly. We arrived at 19:00 as a big group, ordering drinks and sides while attending the comedy club event held there. Throughout the evening the staff seemed confused about the ordering process, where we should order, whom we should pay, and where to pick up our drinks. It felt very uncoordinated, but I decided to overlook it because I was still having a good night. After the bar closed, we stepped outside the door to wait for the elevator and went back in only two minutes later. We asked a staff member if we could quickly use the photo booth. He told us the bar had already closed 10 minutes earlier (which made me wonder why the entrance door was still open). He said we couldn’t use the photo booth but that there was another one in the lobby. When we went downstairs, we found that the lobby photo booth was out of service with a note on it. So not only were we spoken to rudely, but we were also misled. This was especially disappointing considering we were part of the comedy night hosted there, we ordered consistently throughout the evening, and we were patient with the staff despite the confusion. Yet they couldn’t allow four people to use the photo booth around the corner for just five minutes, right next to the elevator exit. I decided to write this review because this kind of attitude really overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable night.

Amazing drinks with crazy view, perfect Viennese experience, ask for Hannah the best bar tender ever she ask you what flavor you like then you have to trust her! And ask her for the drink she invented 😍

A must-visit in the area! The service earns 4 stars, especially thanks to Josi and Leon — Josi is very nice, and Leon is wonderful. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because our experience with another server wasn’t at the same level. Ordered some beers, cocktails and shots, all were good.

me and my friend randomly found the café and i am so glad we did. it was literally the highlight of our trip to vienna. i can only recommend going at least once to this café. staff is so friendly and welcoming. the atmosphere is incredible, the music as well, they all have immaculate taste in music. we didnt try anything except the lattes, but that was like the best latte i’ve had. we really enjoyed ourselves. and the balcony with that view was mesmerising. felt like a movie scene. loved it. we will definitely come back :)

This place is amazing! I was so excited to visit this bar — the music is fantastic, and the drinks were absolutely delicious. I waited less than 10 minutes for my order, and everything was perfect. The evening view from the terrace is stunning — it really adds something special to the experience. Thank you to everyone who works here — you're kind, honest.
