Die Feinkosterei Judenplatz feels like the sort of place you are quietly pleased to have found. It sits on a beautiful square and, in the evening especially, the whole setting has a calm, intimate atmosphere. Inside, the low lighting and mix of seating make it comfortable and relaxed rather than formal. The staff stand out. Service is warm, attentive and natural, without any sense of performance. The Austrian wine list is also a highlight, with a good little range available by the glass, so it is easy to try something local. The food is grounded in Viennese and Austrian classics, alongside some more original dishes, and the cooking is consistently excellent. Everything feels carefully prepared and confidently done. It is also noticeably away from the main tourist circuit, which makes the experience feel more local and unforced. A genuinely lovely place to spend an evening.

This place has great tapas-style Austrian food, and has very authentic food compared to nearby tourist-traps. The price can be a little salty, but personally the small schnitzel was quite filling. The desserts were very tasty, and the staff was lovely.

One of the best Austrian restaurants in first district Vienna. Nice ambience and service . The chefs have mastered the art of cooking and food ! Highly recommended!

Schnitzel and goat cheese salad were INCREDIBLE. Some of the best food we have had on our trip to vienna. Total for this plus a large water was about €40. Service was friendly. No wait for 2 at 3pm on a week day. Would definitely visit again next time in Vienna!

We found this cute little bar on our first night in Vienna. Service was fantastic and atmosphere was cosy and relaxing. Food was amazing - we had the beef fillet, risotto and salad and everything was delicious.
