Reviews
Gorgeous service, food and atmosphere! We were greeted by the Maitre D, Dennis, who brought us a complimentary glass of champagne, and also our beautiful server, Qetsia. The veal, salmon and truffle salad were magical. We dined with a view of the Vienna Opera House. How much better could this day be? We will come again if we return to Vienna, and I hope we do.
A Subpar Experience Saved by Excellent Management Our visit during today’s busy lunch service started off on a subpar note but was ultimately redeemed by the restaurant’s exceptional young manager. The tables were set with bread plates, suggesting a starter, but the bread itself didn’t arrive (despite hungrily asking) until the main courses were served—about 45 minutes later. Thankfully, the beautiful views of the surrounding royal gardens helped make the wait more bearable. Unfortunately, when the bread did arrive, it came with a piece of shipping tape still attached—a small but telling sign of the quality control issues we encountered. My steak, ordered medium rare, was served well done. Perhaps it was my mistake, as the chef’s note was that the center was perfect (maybe ignoring the dry edges). While portions were small, the flavors were very good. The true highlight of our experience was the restaurant manager, who jumped into action on the front lines—offering attentive, genuine service despite the hectic lunch rush. Her professionalism and grace under pressure were remarkable, deserving a fully staffed team of properly trained servers in order to enable the service levels one desires to expected from Do&Co. To our surprise, she later presented us with a beautiful gesture to make up for the inconveniences—an unexpected act that could easily serve as a textbook example of outstanding customer service.
This was an absolute surprise. After spending a few wonderful hours at the Albertina Museum, we expected nothing more than to simply relax at the museum café — but it turned out to be the best coffee experience we had in Vienna. The Sachertorte was exceptional, truly the best chocolate cake we’ve ever tasted. It’s a timeless classic, perfectly balanced with a modern touch of fruit, nuts, and rich chocolate flavor. The service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. A delightful and memorable way to end our museum visit.
Great food, location is quite optimal in the city center. Staff were super friendly and quick with everything. Food was delicious and the waiter gladly substituted sweet potato fries for regular when I asked (very uncommon to find restaurants willing to allow substitutions in Europe). I was very pleased with my experience. My friend said his burger was great and the beer was wonderful and had a unique character.
Service is top notch (service is charged at €4pp, but really not complaining). The food is also very good, although portions can be slightly bigger. The atmosphere inside is high-end and sophisticated. We enjoyed a good lunch after visiting the museum.
