Smaller museum, but worth the visit. It's located in the central cemetery, and if you're interested in macabre, I think this compact walk through history of funerals in Vienna will be enjoyable. Short but interesting.

Save your money. Definitely not worth a detour. With the rich history of this actual cemetery, there's so much to work with yet the exhibition is anemic.
This was an unexpected highlight of our trip to Vienna. It’s located within the grounds of the beautiful Central Cemetery. It’s quite small but there is plenty to see. I learned a lot about Vienna’s special relationship with death, and there were interesting exhibits on coffin hardware, funeral vehicles, etc. My children particularly loved the interactive section about funeral music. It didn’t feel morbid at all, and the gift shop was great. Thoroughly recommend.
Very interesting, we learned a lot! I would recommend.
We arrived at 15:00 Friday afternoon, only to find a note at the entrance: closing time today is 15:00. Awesome.
