A Hidden Gem for Authentic Austrian Comfort Food We stumbled across Gasthaus Rebhuhn while exploring Vienna and are really glad we decided to stop in. This feels like the kind of authentic neighborhood restaurant that locals actually come to, with classic Austrian dishes prepared exceptionally well. The veal schnitzel on the daily special list was excellent. Light, crisp, perfectly cooked, and not at all greasy, just the way it should be. We also tried the veal goulash special, and it was outstanding. The meat was incredibly tender, the sauce was rich and full of flavor, and it was pure comfort food. A special thank you to Pavel, and the service team who provided friendly, attentive service throughout our meal. He was happy to customize one of our orders, and the generous salad that accompanied it was a great touch. If you're looking for authentic Austrian cuisine away from the busiest tourist spots, this is an easy recommendation. Great food, welcoming service, fair prices, and a relaxed local atmosphere. We'd happily come back again.

Very Austrian style restaurant with delicious Viennese schnitzel, traditional atmosphere and attentive staff. We tried organic veal schnitzel and salad and everything was really tasty. Portions are very big. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for traditional Austrian cuisine.

A simple yet traditional and rustic inn. The food was excellent. The service was quick and friendly.

Best schnitzel I have ever had! The portion of the meat was generous. The salad was a bit sour, but I still enjoyed it. The only downside was the restaurant interior, which wasn’t very impressive, and on a hot day it really missed air conditioning. Overall, though, the food alone is definitely worth a visit.

We visited this restaurant during our previous trip to Vienna about a year and a half ago and loved it back then. This time, we crossed half of the city just to have dinner here again — and our expectations were fully met. The food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Despite the fact that everything was fully booked when we arrived, they still managed to help us arrange a table. We truly appreciate their effort and hospitality.
