Hotel Gilbert

The double room is very small for comfort but clean and fragrant. There is no hair conditioner in the washroom and is only available at an additional cost. Some of the staff are not helpful and will not help with luggage. On checkout, the lady at the reception simply refused to help and asked us to find someone else on our own. That was the weirdest thing to do. The gentleman on check-in was extremely nice and helpful with a smile on his face. The restaurant closes soon and doesn't serve dinner on Sundays and Mondays. Nevertheless, the chefs of the &flora restaurant have produced unique, flavorful cuisines. Every dish is worth it. The ambiance of the restaurant is great. Thomas is an extremely nice server.

A very nice, cozy hotel. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. The beds are amazing! Nice lobby with an artistic vibe. I bought their vinyl. Great coffee at breakfast. Excellent location - just a 5 minute walk to the museums. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Hotel Gilbert for two nights in March. The hotel is well located and the staff is absolutely wonderful. Special mention and thank you to Alessa who went above and beyond with her recommendations, making sure we were comfortable and even helping us book train tickets to our next destination. The room was spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet was an absolute treat and a pleasant surprise with a huge variety and a focus on fresh, healthy ingredients with a Mediterranean influence. One of my favorite hotel breakfasts. We also tried the restaurant &flora for dinner and it was an enjoyable experience.

I had a lovely stay at Hotel Gilbert. The design is stylish and inviting, and the staff were genuinely friendly. I even enjoyed a workout in their gym one evening, which was a great bonus. The food was excellent, and I appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail in the room, for instance the record player with some records. The shower gel smells wonderful. Would definitely recommend!

Hotel staff are wonderful. So very helpful. A lot of the Hotel rooms are right next to lifts which are very noisy in the mornings. Showers lovely. Breakfast was very underwhelming as it’s basically just their dinners served.. hummus, couscous, broccoli dishes… there is bread and pastries but very basic not fresh. I was disappointed considering the advertisement. Hotel is in a good location but the view from hotel front/our room is not nice (see photo). Disappointed from the price of the hotel.
