Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth

I enjoyed my recent stay here. The staff was beyond professional and accommodating. It's a great centralized location for anything you’re looking to do in the city center.

Very nice and cozy hotel in the city centre, near st. Stephan’s cathedral and the subway. We really enjoyed our stay there and hope to come back one day

I will not repeat the good points of other reviews, but one thing stands out for us. We come from Canada, and are used to cool hotel room temperatures. We arrived at the hotel when the outside temperature was 34 degrees! We set our room (402) temperature to 21 and the room stayed at this temperature with no problem. Temperature was very even, and noise was very quiet. Very happy with the hotel. PS The pickup service from the airport worked very well.

The perfect hotel in the middle of the city, really close to Saint Stephen's cathedral. The aesthetic is grand and the rooms really elegant and well-equipped. The breakfast was satisfactory, with a wide variety of bread options, pastry, fruit, etc. and fresh coffee or tea served to you personally as soon as you arrive. The staff was super helpful and even willing to store our luggage if needed on our last day. I find it very convenient that we had to leave the key at the front desk before we left, to make sure nobody loses it. I just wish they had more than one elevator, cause it was constantly occupied and we had to carry out luggage down 2 flights of stairs.

We had pre-booked a different hotel from this one, based on multiple positive reviews, and upon arrival we found it to be surprisingly poor. Rather than allow our 4-day trip to Vienna to be tainted by an uncomfortable place to stay, we did a quick search and found the Kaiserin Elisabeth, happily just a 10-minute walk from the initial place. The understanding and helpful woman at the front desk allowed us to look at two of their available rooms, and we selected the one that most suited us. And after the poor choice of the first hotel, and us now questioning our judgment, we were wonderfully surprised by everything at the Kaiserin Elisabeth! The room was clean and spacious, as was the well-equipped bathroom. While the hotel had many guests, and it is located in a very busy and popular part of the city, we did not hear any noise from our room over all four days we were there (except for the church bells marking the time). Everything about the room, and the hotel overall, had the air of comfort, security, and class! The morning breakfast buffet had many great options, all of which were tasty. And the serving staff were consistently available. The location of this hotel is not to be beat! It is right near St. Stephen's cathedral (the source of the bells), right off of a large, several street walking mall, and within walking distance of most of the main attractions in the center of Vienna. We greatly appreciate having had the chance to be "rescued" from our initial hotel, and we will not hesitate to return to the Kaiserin Elisabeth the next time we visit Vienna!
