This review is an appreciation for the commentator of the race on 5.2.2022. I don't know if it's always the same one but i hope he never quits his job because he was so nice, so passionate about it it really makes you feel the beauty of this sport. Super professional but also fun and entertaining. Keep it up
Miserable Krieau. Since last year, visitors have been prohibited from bringing drinks/food/snacks inside, and there are bag checks at the entrance! A development that, on the one hand, probably deters many long-time residents and certainly doesn't attract any new visitors. It used to be possible to spend a great day here with the whole family. Those who wanted could get their fill at the numerous stalls or the restaurant, and those who couldn't or didn't want to could bring a few snacks and drinks with them. After all, you spend a good five to six hours here. If there were a suitable selection of restaurants and something for those on a tight budget, it would still be somewhat acceptable. But that's completely missing. On the first floor, where you can sit in the warm and dry, there are no restaurants, no betting booths, nothing. That means 40 steps up and down for every bet or drink. There are no price displays at the existing food stalls outside, as well as at the "local" inside, which is prohibited. The prices must be clearly visible. This kind of behavior is sure to scare away even the last spectators – as you can see time and time again. Empty grandstands as far as the eye can see, unless the top race of the year is on. It's simply sad what's happened here over the past few years. A visit is simply not recommended. I'd rather recommend a visit to the trotting track in Baden (unfortunately only open in summer). Everything's still perfect here.
