Oberlaa Konditorei is one of those places in Vienna that perfectly combines elegance, tradition, and high-quality desserts. From the moment you walk in, you notice the refined and calm atmosphere, which makes it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy a proper coffee break. The selection of pastries and cakes is impressive, with a strong focus on classic Austrian desserts. Everything looks beautifully presented, almost too pretty to eat. I tried one of their chocolate cakes along with a Melange, and both were excellent. The cake was rich but not overly sweet, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. The coffee was also well-prepared and paired perfectly with the dessert. What I really appreciated was the overall experience — it’s not just about grabbing a quick coffee, but about slowing down and enjoying the moment. The service was polite and professional, adding to the upscale feel of the place. Prices are on the higher side compared to regular cafés, but considering the quality, atmosphere, and presentation, it feels justified. I would definitely recommend Oberlaa Konditorei if you’re looking for a classic Viennese café experience with top-tier pastries.

The place is very well located, in a busy and lively area. It is very large, with three floors, and when we were there it was completely full, which already says a lot about its popularity. The dessert display is incredible, everything looks delicious and makes you want to try it all. The service was a bit slow, but that is understandable given how many tables they have and the limited staff for such high demand. Even so, the staff is friendly and does their best to keep things moving. We ordered two desserts. The Sacher Torte was good, but not our favorite. It is a chocolate cake with a hard outer layer and quite sweet for our taste. The Apfelstrudel had very good flavor and a well balanced level of sweetness, but we were expecting the top layers to be crunchier. It was good, but not WOW. As for drinks, everything was great. The matcha lattes were delicious and the Americano coffee was also very good.

Fantastic selection of pastries and desserts, and everything we tried tasted fresh and well made. The atmosphere is elegant but still comfortable, so you can sit and enjoy without feeling rushed. Service was polite and efficient, and the staff handled everything smoothly even when it was busy. Great coffee too. Highly recommended, and I’ll gladly come back.

You already have seen all the reviews when it comes to the desserts so let me focus on something else. Their steirischer Backhendl salad is sublime and better than for example the more known Brandauer restaurants. Definitely can recommend eating lunch here. And from my neighbors table the Caesar salad also looked tasty.
