This place was AMAZING! My husband And I did the food pairing menu. Every single item we ate we LOVED. We could not figure out why this place wasn’t packed. The staff and chef were fantastic and humble. If you search this place and question if you’ll like it, just do it! Seriously some of the best food/drink combos I have ever had in all my travels. We spent a little more than most because the drinks were so good we ordered more after the sample pairings.
At first, I was a bit confused by the fact that we reserved a table for drinks and we were at the bar since usually (and with usually I mean when I was coming more often 4 years ago), we always have a table. But the waiter was super nice and he calmly explained everything to us without showing that he’s annoyed. He even offered us a complimentary shot to apologize for the inconvenience. As soon as a table was free, he offered it to us. I loved the cocktails. We had 5 in total. The quality was even better than I remembered from 4 years ago. Very inventive and special cocktails that one can’t find in other bars. I think that the innovation of Moby Dick’s cocktails, the quality and the expertise of the bartenders and the waiters is what sets it apart from other bars. Everybody is super welcoming and ready to talk to you. We had a lot of fun and we’ll try to come more often. Thank you for the wonderful experience! P.S Yes, it is more expensive than other bars with most cocktails at about 16€ euro, but it’s really worth it.
Very, very, very cool place. You must try ribs dish. It’s like a Michelin dish… The atmosphere was amazing and the waiter was so professional. Very good cocktails 😎 *not cheap
Moby Dick Cocktailbar in Vienna is a gem! Creative cocktails, delicious small dishes, and a cozy, stylish atmosphere with a sustainable touch. Prices are a bit high, but totally worth it for the quality. Perfect for a special night out — highly recommend!
Moby Dick carries over the same warm hospitality from it’s predecessor, ‘Botanical Garden’. Sit at the bar and you might be treated to creative shots - ours came in oyster shells with fruit which made for a fun, squidgy texture. The drinks are playful and unique, like the Tom Kha Thai which tastes just like a thai soup, and is served with a sassy fortune cookie. While the quality isn’t quite extraordinary, the atmosphere and personal touches make it a memorable stop.
