Reviews
Plachutta never disappoints! Every time I’m in Vienna, it’s a must-visit for dinner. This was my first time at this location, and it felt cozier than the city one—more like a hidden gem. The service was top-notch; my waiter was attentive, gave great recommendations, and made sure I were taken care of. And of course, the food was incredible as always. Well worth it! Just be sure to make a reservation because they’re always booked out.
Plachutta Nussdorf is significantly better than Plachutta Wollzeile and NeuMarkt. Everything is precise, delicious, and impeccably clean. The service strikes the perfect balance—neither overly formal nor intrusive. The staff is professional, attentive without being overbearing, and maintains an elegant discretion that speaks volumes about the restaurant’s philosophy. It’s a rare pleasure to enjoy an exceptional meal in an atmosphere curated by true professionals. My sincere appreciation for the outstanding service, the refined ambiance, and, of course, the exquisite cuisine. A truly remarkable experience. Thank you!
Plachutta's restaurants are seriously fantastic. They offer the best of Viennese cuisine and the quality of the food remains consistent. There is a reason they are always fully booked, but the food makes it worth it! Unfortunately, the quality food tends to have a caveat, and with this restaurant, it means the waiters are not super friendly and they prices are quite high. In addition, they will charge every addition to your bill. This includes the sauces or potato sides you select (which are recommended on the menu and asked for you to choose one by the waiter, but never disclosed on the menu that they cost extra in addition to the dish). In addition, be aware they charge you for "couvert" per person!! This means a table cover, which is essentially the cutlery and tableware that you use. This is not something they inform you beforehand, and it adds up if you are dining with multiple people. We also were not aware of the significance of the tipping culture in Vienna. We assumed that the staff received good wages, this doesn't seem to be the case as the waiter who serves was intensely and very vocally offended about the fact we didn't give a tip. A lesson learned for next time, it seems.
Great local restaurant in renovated building, in Vienna Nussdorf, 19.district. Chill atmosphere, and almost full about 14:00. In summer tíme, there is a nice garden available in courtyard. We've had Celery foam soup with truffle and celery straw and of course Plachutta's trademark a Wiener schnitzel with traditional potato salad. All food was tasty and perfectly prepared and served. Highly recommend. Its better to rezerve a table in advance as we've had just luck to be seated without it. Parking is available in streets around (payment possible via parking app)
Best place ever! Delicious food, great service and an atmospheric environment! It is worth the money I paid and I will definitely visit it again next time I will be in Vienna!
