Pöhl am Naschmarkt

We had a lovely lunch at pohl. You get to choose from a variety of breads, cheeses, and cured meats, and they prepare a beautiful board for you. We asked for some advice because we were hoping to try local Austrian products (they also have Italian and French ones), and Nick was really kind and took the time to guide us through the selection. The board in the photo cost €17—great quality for the price!

Have recently bought Bordier butter at this shop, my favourite taste - with algae - as I have liked it in France and wanted to keep buying in Vienna. It was all rancid, stinky, awful tasting - obviously was either too aged, or stored wrong. "Overpromise and underdeliver" seems to be national austrian idea, as nearly every business in this country follows it religiosly.

If you know quality of food & wine and willing to pay & know the market, this is the place to be. But if you are young and don't know quality of win and good and appreciate amAzing food!. Here's the place to be or just try! You will know ♥️

Super-delicious Emmerberger Schinken… best to buy a whole pack as that’s always fresh.

This store made my day. The owner was very friendly (as a solo english speaking foreigner) and gave large samples of things i was buying. The smell reminds me of a sausage and cheese market one might find in Paris or other more culinary parts of europe. The items i purchased were all delectable and as delicious as i expected. The naschmarket itself is quite disappointing but if i lived nearby I would very much frequent this store. Apparently, you can also get wine and dine on your purchases on tables across the store. Great for a sunny afternoon!
