Restaurant Sole

My sister came to Vienna 6 years ago and when I asked her for recommendations Sole was at the top of her list. It did not disappoint. The service, the wine, the food, the ambiance are all 11/10 amazing! We had a wonderful time and dare I say an even better meal. The tiramisu is the best I have ever had. Please do yourself a favor and don’t miss a trip to Sole on your next visit to Vienna.

Walked in and was seated right away without reservations around 2pm. We ordered two chef reccomendations - the sea bass filet with risotto cake and the pasta with pumpkin puree and and bacon. The fish was filleted and was cooked well but the risotto with it was room temp and no flavor. The pasta with pumpkin puree was lacking flavor and was served at room temp... probably sat too long before getting to the table. Its pricey for poor quality.

Elegant and cozy place, with proper Italian cuisine. We had reserved a dinner table for two people. We were invited in, the waiter took our coats and we were welcomed at a nice table. The general atmosphere was pleasant and it was quiet and easy to talk. The drawings on the wall and the hard-wood lining give a certain elegance worthy of Viennese first district restaurant. The waiters are attentive and speak Italian between each other which gives an authentic feel. The menu offers a good selection of starters, fish and meat dishes, as well as pizza. We had carbonara di pesce, which was good. A generous quantity of seafood and spaghetti al-dente. I was not able to finish the entire portion. We were attentively provided with mineral water for the entire duration of the dinner. Good choice for a romantic dinner or when you are in the mood for something more elegant and high quality.

Amazing pasta and pizza. Went twice in my stay in Vienna. Aki is the best, really charming and nice to talk to. Best Italian restaurant in town. Will definitely come back.

Ordered the seafood pasta and spaghetti with clams. Both were well done and great! No reservations required and you can simply walk-in. Service is good as well. A nice place for dinner as you can sit along the streets and enjoy the pasta.
