Rote Bar

I booked a reservation at Restaurant Rote Bar and let them know we would be celebrating our anniversary together with our 7 year old. They arranged everything beautifully. We had a lovely banquet table by the window and they had a colouring book and crayons ready for him. When they gave us a complementary amuse bouche, they had a small bowl of popcorn for him. His schnitzel arrived with a bowl of fries (which didn’t seem to be a choice on the menu so very grateful they thought to bring him that as a side). I had the beef filet and braised cheek, a perfectly done dish. My husband enjoyed his elevated tafelspitz too. For dessert they presented us this lovely greeting alongside a plate of fruit and bonbons. We also enjoyed the signature Sacher torte. All in all the perfect anniversary dinner for our little party of 3! Highly recommend this place for those looking to celebrate a special moment along with their little loved ones.

Simply a magnificent atmosphere. We had a reservation in advance and sat by the window. While you eat, the wonderful details in the restaurant captivate you. They also offered a very delicious, chef-signed treat to start with. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The prices are a little above average, but it's worth it for this experience.

This is one of the best restaurants that I have been. You will not find a better schnitzel in Wien, better atmosphere or service which was impeccable. I cannot recommend this enough. I came to Wien for 3 days and went to the restaurant every days

We celebrated a special occasion here and had the most spectacular time. I highly recommend the set menu with the wine pairings. The food was excellent, and the wine pairings were a great way to try different wines that we wouldn't have normally chosen. The local wines in particular were fantastic if you're interested in sampling the regional selection. The live piano music in the background made the entire experience even more memorable. 10/10, would definitely recommend!

If you want to eat in a place that is beautiful this is a great place for you. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was subpar. If tasted like food you get at a very old expensive place where the menus have not been updated in 50 years. The truffle linguini was passable and the veal schnitzel was the worst I had in Austria. It was tough and the breading was very poorly done with no salt or any flavor. Also when we checked the bill the tagged on extra fees for the bread and amuse bouche that they brought to our table without us ordering not. The amuse bouche was not something I would eat, so I’m not happy about being forced to pay for something I did not want.
