It’s a family run business for 7 generations. The owner’s daughter gave a nice tour of the store. She is extremely courteous and friendly. The leather goods are of the highest quality. I highly recommend it.

Founded in 1816 by Markus Scheer, the place is a legend among shoe lovers. Its custom-made shoes for men & women are sought-after all across the globe. Scheer also makes high-quality leather bags and accessories. The beautiful shop consists of a series of interconnected rooms looking like the flat of a wealthy 19th-century Viennese businessman. The right decor for the highest of luxury.

A beautiful, very luxurious bespoke shoe shop with its own workshop. A valuable piece of history in Vienna's city center. Each shoe is transformed into a work of art with meticulous care and loving dedication over many hours. It's wonderful that such places still exist. The interior alone is worth a visit.

Rudolf Scheer & Sons has been among the most renowned shoemakers in Austria since its founding in 1816. The shop of the "Imperial and Royal Court Shoemaker," a title held since 1878, is located in Vienna's city center. Even Emperor Franz Joseph had his shoes made there. And you can still do so today. They'll certainly last a lifetime, but they come at a price. Top-notch, indeed. The shop itself is definitely a sight to behold.

I didn't buy custom shoes, but they also sell leather goods like bags and wallets, so I purchased a bespoke wallet. It took longer than expected to make, but they finished it before I left the country, and the staff and owner were very friendly.
