Shiki Japanese Fine Dining

outside its nice to sit but way too loud due to the touristic main street next to the restaurant. food was amazing as expected. service was super friendly but felt a bit too professional and cold. I didn't feel comfortable enough to come again and spend 120€ per person. (the vegan nigiri are world class!)

Celebrated my B-day here. The food was disappointing as for fine dining. From the 7 items set only 2 were okay. Dishes with the stains. Can’t even describe the matcha lava cake with incompatible textures and finger print on the decorative elements. No one asked regarding the satisfaction of the meals and overall experience. On top of that the waitress behaved like we were visiting her own apartment with no invitation. And for a high end restaurant NOT congratulating guest on a Birthday is totally a joke. Even though it was specifically mentioned on the reservation and during the visit. Used to like this restaurant since they provided quality service and food but not anymore. Birthday dinner was disappointing.

However, they lacked the wow factor I was hoping for at this price point. Service: The staff was wonderful—kind, friendly, and professional. Ambiance: The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, but perhaps a bit too enclosed for my taste. The lack of windows and dim lighting made the space feel quite dark. Given the high expectations set by the menu prices, I was hoping for a bit more in terms of both food and ambiance. While the quality was good, it didn’t quite match the premium pricing compared to similar restaurants in this category. Overall, I had a good dining experience with delicious food and excellent service, but I felt the price was a bit steep for what was delivered.
