Trattoria La No

A Slice of Genuine Tuscany in Vienna, and I speak as Italian. As an Italian who lived in Florence for over a year, I have very high standards for Tuscan cuisine. La No didn't just meet them — it transported me back to a traditional trattoria in the heart of Italy. The Vibe: The atmosphere is wonderfully casual. It has that authentic, welcoming feel of a place that doesn't need to overdress because the quality of the food speaks for itself. It’s laid - back in the best possible way: warm, lively, and real. The Food: You can tell immediately that the kitchen doesn't compromise for the local market. The flavors are bold, original, and strictly Italian. Special Mention: The focaccia is not just good; it is heavenly. If it weren't for the fear of a reproach from my personal trainer, I could have easily finished four of them. The Experience: Beyond the food, the staff is genuinely Italian, adding to the immersion. It was the perfect spot to impress my dining companion (it was a great success!), providing an elegant yet relaxed environment for a memorable meal. I will definitely be returning. If you are looking for the true soul of Tuscan cooking in Vienna, this is it.

My friend and I went for a small dinner (tagliere, lasagna to share, and a tiramisu). They charged us much more than expected - tap water ended up being 6,50€ but without notice, and added 3 crostini for 9,00€ (it was implied that the crostini was included in the tagliere). We were really surprised when the check arrived. The wait staff was nice but not always upfront about everything. I can suggest putting prices on everything so there is no surprise

Everything was great about this restaurant. The food, the service, and the atmosphere. The servers were always around in case we needed anything, they had tables outside to enjoy the atmosphere, and some people came to play some music as well which i enjoyed! Made the mood even better.

Torrential thunderstorms meant we dashed out early for dinner and had to sit inside. The waiting staff were fine with this. Beef tartare needed extra seasoning and missed the customary egg yolk, however the roasted marrow bone more than made up for it. The T bone steak came with a sizzling platter to help finish off any under done meat...the meat was soft and tender, the fat could have been trimmed and rendered a little more. The spinach side needed draining of brown spinach juice. A small mix up with our disappearing bottle of water, a healthy wine list, jovial staff and a bubbling atmosphere.
