This Neo-Gothic City Hall must be the most beautiful city hall I have ever seen anywhere. The building is outstandingly intricate and looms over a garden where during Christmas time they hold a Christmas Market for the joy of Viennese people and tourists alike.

Vienna City Hall is an architectural masterpiece and a true gem of the city! The Gothic-style building is breathtaking, with its towering spires and intricate details that reflect Vienna’s rich history. During the day, it’s an impressive sight, but it becomes even more magical at night when it’s beautifully illuminated. The surrounding square often hosts lively events and seasonal markets, adding to its charm and making it a vibrant spot for both locals and visitors. It’s a must-see landmark that captures the elegance and grandeur of Vienna perfectly!

This is one grand looking building. It looks like something out of a Disney movie, and it almost is. It was built at the end of the 19th century, so quite recently. There are guided tours available during certain hours of the day as well as free audio tours. If you have a chance you should really make your way inside and see the interior.

Sadly we were only able to visit from the outside, but is is amazing. One of the most beautiful buildings I have ever seen. It is a must see in Vienna. Tall, decorated towers and you can see the many windows that are decorated in a very artistic fashion. The people standing guard at the main entrance told as that you can take guided tours of the building on mondays Fridays and sunndays from 13:00 so if you have the possibility don't miss out.

On our walking tour around Vienna we eventually came across yet another impressive building. This time is was the Vienna Town Hall. We didn't go inside as it was quite late on a Monday afternoon but we took the time to take a few photos. It was interesting to see that the Cologne based Roncalli circus had set up stall directly in front of the town hall. So most photos also featured parts of the tents, caravans and lorries of this traveling circus. Hmm...
