Fantastic family experience! We visited today with two children, aged 7 and 12, and we all had a wonderful time. We spent about 4 hours exploring the exhibits, and the kids were absolutely captivated and entertained throughout. There was no wait time at the entrance, which made the start of our visit very smooth. Highly recommended for families!
The Technisches Museum is great to spend half a day with the family. There are dedicated areas for kids, however, on busy days a time slot needs to be reserved in advance. Many areas of technology are covered on 5 floors and there are some special shows to book separately as well. I wish some areas would be more interactive and more up to date with the latest technology advancements but overall it is worth a visit. The proximity to Schloss Schönbrunn also makes it convenient to combine both on one day.
We visited the Technical Museum during Museum Night in October. The history of technology and its evolution is stunning. We were very impressed and received comprehensive information. It was interesting and well-attended. All the halls were open, and there were no lines. The organization was well-organized.
This place is enormous. You need all day to finish it. Really interesting, a lot things to touch and try, many kinds of different machines. Just come and see. There is picnic zone and cafe inside so you can take food for your kids and eat there.
A very engaging and interactive museum that makes science and technology easy to understand and enjoyable. The exhibitions cover a wide range of topics, from transportation and engineering to everyday technology, with plenty of hands-on elements. Well organized and interesting for both adults and younger visitors. A great choice if you want something educational but still fun!
