Reviews
THE SWEETEST staff in all of Vienna! Came here early in the morning for breakfast, and they were all so kind to me as a solo traveler. Love to see the vegan options on the menu. I had the Shakshuka with vegan Feta-Cheese & salted roll and a cappuccino. Both were great
I loved this place! The coffee was really good, as was the food if a cold meat and cheese style is your bag. The outside terrace is also very nice, on a really quiet street with no cars. I went twice and was served both times by a really nice and friendly lady (glasses and brown hair). The birches muesli wasn't 100%. traditional so if you are a devotee perhaps forego it. And apparently the sachertorte Oma doesn't come in until mid morning! I was hoping to get some to take away on my last day but I was too early. Which leads to my only criticism: the cakes don't seem to be well labeled. Twice I ordered a cake slice (two different cakes) that were meant to be nut flavoured of some sort, and both types had no taste of any nuts (hazelnut, walnut, oecan, etc) and just tasted of plain chocolate.
I came to this place by chance - the queue in front of Albertina for cheese wurst was so long that I decided to find another place. And don’t regret for a minute - food was really homemade ( I had shakshuka which is very similar to our mush-mash , buchtel - vanilla sauce was so delicious ). Thank you!
Love their sweet, the warm yeasted buns with the vanilla sauce, and the Chocolate Sachertorte were really sooooo good, worth trying. They were not too sweet. The lattes and the hot chocolate with cream on top were just the side order. :) 😁 Their menu is very cute. Do check it out. All the ladies working there are so friendly & happy, they gave us a feeling of warm welcome. And they work so efficiently.
Great breakfast spot with delicious food. Vegan options also included. The café had great vibes; and even on the morning of January 1st, everyone was friendly and welcoming. For the cake you get the Oma-Dollar which you give at the counter and chat a bit with the Oma who cuts you a piece of cake. The Sacher was very tasty and moist. Reservation recommended though, it filled fast!
