Wiener Wiazhaus is a restaurant located in Wien, Austria.
Reviews
The Wiazhaus is an iconic, old school restaurant with a great selection of schnitzel and other Austrian specialties. Its is cash only (you know it’s good) and reservations are highly recommended. It was the best Schnitzel we had in the city and it had a more “local”, less touristy price structure. Highly, highly recommend.
This is my first time tasting Wiener schnitzel and I felt like it was very dry. With lemon and cranberry sauce it was better. Generous portion. I also got apple strudel and that was mid at best. Dough at the bottom was very undercooked and vanilla sauce was very very sweet. They do not accept credit cards, very inconvenient and weird for 2026. The atmosphere wad lovely but I had higher hopes from the reviews.
We had dinner at this restaurant last night. We booked at this place expecting to find tradition, and I must say our wish came true!! From how the place is decorated to the food which is absolutely great!! I loved everything we had from the main course to the desserts and as a plus everything is home made!! It is a very small restaurant so I recommend booking in advance. I would definitely go back!
Yum Yum Yum!! This was probably the tastiest Austrian food we have had on our travels around Austria so far! We were welcomed and seated straight away (Although it seems like it’s best to book, i think we just got lucky) The staff were very friendly towards us regardless of the fact we only speak english. The portion sizes were generous and the whole restaurant has a really cool vintage vibe to it! Thanks so much!
"I visited two days in a row, and I was deeply touched by both the incredible flavors and the genuine hospitality. The daily soup recommendation was the highlight of my trip, and the grilled meat set and schnitzel were tender and delicious. As a solo traveler from Korea, I felt so welcomed by the kind staff. This place will be my first stop the next time I’m in Vienna."
