Beautiful hand built sculptural house in old town. Just catch the tram to avoid walking up the hill. Melik is a favourite turn of the century sculptor. Well worth visiting!

Very special place to visit, however, the exhibition somewhat lacks storytelling and information on historical context.

Interesting gallery, not small, not big either and 90 % art is from Bilek. The house by itself it’s more interesting from outside, interiors are very simple so you can focus on the Bilek’s work. There is a library in basement where you can spend for small fee a lot of time with books.

For us is 5 stars, because we love architecture and art. Bilek was like a Frank Lloyd Wright, in that he was artistic and created in many ways. The house is an example of his creative talent everywhere, from the hinges on the door, to the furniture and lights. Then there are the sculptures, drawings, and pottery. On the top floor there is a film with original footage of Prague between the two world wars. It was really interesting and quite long.
