Conned into getting a massive octopus that was way too big for us for €300 even after ordering multiple starters, left a 10% tip and get yelled at by the waiter because they wanted 30% TOURIST TRAP DO NOT GO

Absolutely the best oysters in Praha! The crab salad, steak tartare and tuna were all spectacular. Definitely a hidden gem for Michelin star quality food, French service and solid wine list. 10/10 would recommend.

I had an outstanding experience at Zdenek’s Bar and, honestly, I really don’t understand some reviews here below mentioning the high prices. It’s an exclusive venue with a great wine portfolio and a great cuisine. And if compared with Milan or Paris it’s actually very reasonably priced. Cherry on top, Mr. Zdenek, an incredible host and wine connoisseur! 😎

First of all, the food was unacceptable: shrimps in coconut sauce were undercooked, and blood from the shrimp heads was leaking into the dish when cut. The service was equally troubling. While the menu states that a 12.5% service charge is optional, the waiters insisted it was mandatory. We were also told that card payments were not possible because “WiFi is not working.” Instead, they suggested withdrawing money from a nearby ATM, or paying in euros at their own exchange rate, which was about 10% worse than the official EUR–CZK rate. After we raised questions, the staff became unfriendly, stopped smiling, and intentionally ignored us. The whole situation felt tense and dishonest.
