Angermaier Trachten

We had such a great experience here looking for traditional clothing. We decided we wanted to buy quality garments instead of “costumes” and were directed here from our hotel concierge. The staff was great, they spent a lot of time with my husband getting his garments fitted just right before it was my turn with the ladies. We love the quality and look of our outfits and just have a great time whenever we get to wear them.

Highly recommend Angermaier Trachten! My friend and I visited from the US for Oktoberfest and wanted traditional dirndls. We were budgeting to spend between 150€-300€. Not only was the selection at this store FABULOUS and beautifully displayed, there were options within our budget. I found a gorgeous dirndl for €199 and my friend found one for €220. Then, the staff were kind, helpful, and truly top notch. It was busy for Oktoberfest but my friend and I both had personal assistance from selecting the dress and apron to having assistance with the blouse. This store also had a few options for shoes and some accessories. We were so happy with the experience and love our dirndls!

Andreas was so helpful and patient with me and my friend. He made sure we were fully satisfied and were happy with our decision. I love my new outfit. Thank you Andreas and Angermaier Trachten. 5 stars all around.

The men’s and women’s stores were separate stores and under a different name, but they were both very good for women’s selection compared to every other store in the city (I visited them all to compare). The men’s selection was quite poor, but it was convenient after buying a women’s dirndl next door. The staff in the women’s store paid very little attention to me when I went in as a man on my own and were very friendly when I went back with my fiancée. In the men’s store the man was a bit rude when he couldn’t guess my size, but otherwise he was helpful. The material of both looked to be of a great quality and buying on the cheaper end, we still spent over $2,000 combined, so it will set you back. I’m happy with what we got though and unless some decent competition comes up, it was the best place to go to that I could find (for women’s at least)
