The ultimate Munich vibe. Tucked inside the English Garden, this iconic beer garden sits beneath a 25-meter-high wooden Chinese pagoda, originally built in 1789. Imagine sipping a cold Bavarian beer with thousands of locals and tourists while a brass band plays from the tower on weekends. With space for over 7,000 people, it's one of the largest and liveliest beer gardens in the city, and whether you're chilling in the sun or grabbing a giant pretzel, it's the place where Munich's heart beats!
Great vibe for beer lovers. Unfortunately, when we reached the place, it started raining heavily and all the counters suspended services temporarily because of it. Once it resumed, we were able to get beer and food and had an amazing time.
How can you not stop at this Biergarten while in Munich as its one of the largest in the city. You can get here multiple ways, walk, bike, or even drive as there is a parking lot near by. The food was good and they had a decent selection of entrees to choose from that you can pair with a dessert or pretzel. Worth checking out even if beer isn’t your thing.
It was fun to walk there from downtown for exercise. There is a beer garden that was closed on Monday
Really great xmas atmosphere. Lots of families enjoying the nice weather after the storm this week. Beautiful sights. Remember if you are not usually in such cold weather dress up warm to enjoy the sight.
