My wife got me a pair of District Vision sunglasses from Leidmann. Since we are in NYC we had to get them internationally shipped over to us. Since they are designed for running it was important that they fit correctly but unfortunately they kept sliding off my face. Over the course of one week my wife emailed them several times asking to see if we could return the glasses (we’d even pay for the shipping) but we didn’t even get a reply. The selection at Leidmann is great. However as a customer, it feels like they don’t necessarily care about my satisfaction and customer experience and care more about making money. If you’re based in the US I’d recommend staying away from them. **update Leidmann reached out to me personally upon seeing this review and offered to process my return and even paid for shipping. Not sure if they’d do the same for alll their intl customers but I appreciate the level of care they took to help us out.
Leidmann is the best optometrist I have ever visited, might be the best in the world, but is for sure the best in Munich. Conveniently located at Munich's luxury shopping street Maximilianstraße it offers a great selection of glasses and a variety of services surrounding eye health & eyesight in a very relaxed & luxurious setting with stunning store interior. It's usually not crowded so you can take all your time you need to try on the different glasses and find the right ones for you. You are surrounded by extremely welcoming, friendly & open professionals that go above & beyond to find the right fit for you and make your visit a success. In the last months I went here to get new glasses, new sunglasses, needed a repair (my fault 🥲) and then also got contact lenses. I was mainly cared for by Aline who really surpassed my highest expectations. When making adjustments I was usually happy quite easily, but she only stopped when from her professional opinion everything was 100% perfect. In modern times this is a very special treat to drive for that much excellence that I value a lot. From the initial eye test to the adjustment of my glasses to another eye test for contact lenses, everyone was really outdoing themselves to find the perfect solutions for me! Thank you! :) All in all leidmann is really the optometrist in Munich to go to. Obviously all this excellence has its price point, for e.g. I paid ~1800 EUR for both regular glasses & sunglasses (with the prescription glasses itself being around ~500 EUR for a pair, and any 2nd prescription glasses with 50% discount). But for me that's more than worth it! You will find the best selection of all products, outstanding staff and in the end the eyewear you will hopefully love and perish for years. PS: If I had to mention one thing that isn't perfect: I feel they would benefit from a great CRM where they can manage all communication channels properly. Sometimes I was contacted by SMS, sometimes by phone. Me reaching out via WhatsApp sometimes was slow, sometimes didn't work at all. Maybe you can work on that :)
Was so surprised to find a pair of sunglasses that were sold out- the Jacques Marie Mage Samoa Hemmings but low and behold a pair showed up on their site and I snatched them up quick. There were sent and on my face in two days from Europe to the US. Thank you for the excellent customer service and timely delivery. Will buy from again. Love the sunglasses. There so well made they blow my mind.
This is the second time I buy glasses from them. Last time they advised me to buy a frame that ended up being the best frame I have ever owned. They do not have cheap frames, but they have very good taste. If you are like me and wear glasses 16 hours a day then it is money well spent. As for customer service, always very friendly.
