Very good Museum, well organized. We took the guided tour and it was very worth it. They share nice information. The museum is very child friendly as well. We really enjoyed our visit. Totally recommend it.

Howdy folks, This is rather small museum but it compensates that with visually stunning statues. Has some art, tools and many other interesting pieces. Has wardrobe and the most beautiful toilets I have seen in Munich. Only reason for 4/5 stars is because one entire floor doesn't have english translation for the whole exhibit, only german, so you can't learn or understand anything.

Wonderful ethnographic museum with great collections across the board, including African, Islamic, and pre-Columbian art. The collection is particularly is strong in terms of art from Papua-New Guinea and Micronesia. I didn't get to see the Asian collections today. The African art collection includes a strong collection of Benin bronzes. I was disappointed, however, that the wall labels did not mention the slave origin of most of these bronzes, which were cast from metal manillas that the Kingdom of Benin traded for slaves.

It’s a very interesting museum and part of 1€ entrance on Sundays. I used audio guide in the app and it was easy and useful. It’s also children friendly. The only thing I would improve is translating some of the objects descriptions into English (some were in German only).

Very interesting exhibits. Friendly staff. It is very convenient that there is an elevator for those who have difficulty climbing the stairs. We will definitely come back again. Outerwear is left in the wardrobe, things are not cared for in any way.
