Reviews
This museum has exhibitions not only about the war crimes committed by the Nazis during the Second World War but also more recent racial crimes in Germany, especially in München. It is for free and I highly recommend this place. People are forgetful so we need to be reminded of the atrocities humans are capable of.
This was a great and very informative museum with a clear flow and order. English and German. Free admittance. Very eye opening considering the state of things nowadays.
Free, complimentary experience on my visit in July 2024. Very thorough with 4 floors of informative displays and slideshows. Building is interestingly designed, although the order of the displays can get a bit confusing. They're numbered bit kind of strewn about in an odd order. There are English and German languages available on the displays, as well as audio guides if you scan the brochure QR code.
While most museums focus on the impact of world war 2 events, the documentation center does wonders in showing how the Nazi party came to power and the people involved in this. It include many names that are less well known but highlight the amount of active or complacent individuals needed for such events to occur. It is designed in a cohesive story that is both intriguing and informing. I wish we had more time to spend there since we were only able to get through the first couple of floors. Would love to come back to go through the remaining.
Amazing Munich Documentation Centre for the History of National Socialism. Free of charged and you can do audio guides.
