Over the past year and a half, I have frequented this extraordinary establishment almost every other Sunday, and it has grown into far more than a place to dine. It is a sanctuary where I have celebrated joyful milestones and sought solace during life’s more challenging moments—a place that has become inseparable from the narrative of my life in Munich. I have introduced friends and visitors from around the globe— New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Asunción and even local acquaintances from Munich—to this culinary gem, and each has left enchanted. The service is impeccable, attentive, and imbued with genuine warmth, while the cuisine is a constant revelation. I delight in exploring the regular menu, yet more often I entrust myself to the “menu of the day,” allowing the chef’s creativity to unfold as a daily surprise. Each dish is a masterful composition, executed with precision and elegance, rivaling the highest standards of New York, London, or Paris. The thoughtful care of the staff elevates the experience further. I am partial to coffee with a dusting of cinnamon—a detail rarely observed in Germany—but at Schwarzreiter, they went to great lengths to accommodate this small wish, exemplifying their remarkable attentiveness. This is a place I call home in Munich. It is unforgettable, capable of evoking a smile with every visit, and it will forever hold a cherished place in my heart.
