Nice place but the tip statue is not lit in the evening. But looks awesome anyway
The Siegestor is a prominent landmark located in München, Germany, originally built as a triumphal arch to commemorate the victories of the Bavarian army.

Before and after Covid lot has been changed. Must visit this place to witness the fusion of tradition , culture and modern days. Lot of beers and food festivals stalls. Definitely fun for sure. Leopoldstrasse and Ludwigstrasse are turned into a massive pedestrian zone twice a year. A colourful festival mile pulls tens of thousands of people to Schwabing and Maxvorstadt, where cars regularly drive through the city. Two weekends a year, Leopoldstrasse and Ludwigstrasse are turned into an adventure mile. One of the biggest of its sort in Europe, the street festival is held once in the spring and once in the autumn. In actuality, though, these are two street celebrations that started apart from one another and originally prioritised idealism over partying.
I had a nice walk around this historic of the glory of Bavarian. I went there early in the morning place was empty I really enjoy taking photo and walking around this place. I wanted to go at night time as well but didn’t have enough time to go there again hopefully next time I have a chance
Beautiful piece of work. We honestly stumbled upon this as we came out of the Enlischer Garten. We took a quick walk about around it & stopped to take pictures. Just admiring the details & also taking note of the damage done during the war. Definitely neat to check out if visiting. I remembered the area to be busy with cars, so be mindful.
We came here after arriving in Munich and dropping our suitcases off at the hotel. Turns out it was some form of bank holiday just listed as Labour Day on the internet. The park was full of people playing volleyball and other sports in a very kind and friendly manner. It's made it a really lovely place to be especially with all the dogs around! The rivers featured are beautifully clean and that is why so many people are swimming in them. No they haven't gone overboard on the safety element of things as you can see from the surfing area. Great place to visit on a summer's day unless you are frightful of big crowds.
