Kol Restaurant

Excellent dining experience. Very busy but staff was friendly and responsive. Seated so I had a great view of the prep line which I enjoyed. Ordered Reindeer per the recommendations of a fellow patron seated next to me. Glad I did. The reindeer was expertly prepared and delicious. The kitchen sent out a small brioche toast with cheese and tomatoes witch was amazing. Didn't save room for dessert although they did look delicious also.

Ended up having beef sticks at the hotel after a $330 dinner. Disappointing at best. Langostine soup was ok, more like creamy mini 3 shrimp soup. For the main dish, they didn’t ask the temperature of the reindeer so we assumed it was a well done dish. Turned out it was way too undercooked for me, told the waiter but she didn’t do anything about it. Also needed more seasoning, I wish there was some salt on the table. I ate around the sides and my husband had the middle part of. Small medallion meat. Dessert also sucked. There was no coffee flavor in the tiramisu. For the chocolate mousse, we couldn’t tell if there is any mousse in there. There was 1 scoop of cinnamon ice cream in a whip cream circle. Needless to say I was still hungry after this dinner. Not a great value for the money. Palette is not there.

My husband selected Kol based on the delicious menu items. He had the reindeer, perfectly cooked and flavor-packed. I had the Waygu filet. Absolutely delicious. For desert the chocolate raspberry tart. Again, Kol knocked it out of the park. Pricey but you get what you pay for here.

We really enjoyed our experience here. The food was amazing - we had the Chef’s tasting menu (highly recommended)- the service was top notch and the atmosphere was lively and energetic. We loved Kol and highly recommend it.

Delicious and interesting dining experience. Kol serves food that’s both traditional and innovative, with spectacular flavour combinations like miso rainforest with kataifi, smoked arctic char with nut praline. All works perfectly together. Service is just as impeccable as the food.
