cozy and relaxing ambient with delicious dishes. The Coffee cured salmon was a beautiful balance of sophistication and somplicity. It was just right firmness and delicaed enough to melt on the palate. The oven baked cod fish fillet topping sundry tomato salsa and lemon thyme polenta was perfectly cooked. The texture was tender and buttery. Fish ceviche was a refreshing burst of bright and clean flavors and the lamb shank was nothing short of exceptional. It was rich , savory and deeply aromatic. It also had that melt-in-your-mouth texture.
I recently dined at Reykjavik Kitchen and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. I began with the creamy seafood soup, which was rich, comforting, and full of fresh flavor - perfectly complemented by a crisp glass of Sancerre from France. For the main course, I enjoyed the Icelandic lamb shank, served with a velvety potato purée enriched with butter and cream, vibrant red cabbage puree, tender broccolini and a luscious red wine and honey glaze. The Malbec from Argentina paired beautifully, enhancing the deep, savory flavors of the dish. To finish, I indulged in a Skyr cheesecake on a crispy kadaifi and pistachio cream base, topped with a delightful cherry sauce. A glass of Las Moras was the perfect companion - smooth, balanced and a wonderful end to an exceptional meal. The service was outstanding - warm, professional, and attentive. A special thank you to Magdalena, my server, for her excellent recommendations and kind hospitality and to chef Kasia for creating such beautifully prepared and flavorful dishes. Everything at Reykjavik Kitchen was simply exceptional - the food, the wine, and the service. A truly memorable dining experience in Reykjavík. Highly recommended!
I had the lamb main which came with mash, cabbage purée & gravy. It was absolutely heavenly. Very generous portion and a brilliant combination of textures and flavours. This was my first time trying Icelandic lamb and it certainly won’t be my last! The cocktails were a bit expensive (about £17 each) but the raspberry mojito was really fruity and fresh. All in all a really lovely introduction to Icelandic food, would definitely recommend if you want fine dining quality and service in a more casual setting.
Me and my partner ate here last night and it was the best meal we have had in Iceland it was honestly amazing the flavours they used for each dish! I didnt see how it could work but it did was like heaven in my mouth! Service was great, staff were so friendly! A must go to if you are in iceland
