Sun Voyager is a striking and elegant sculpture that perfectly captures the spirit of Reykjavík. Sitting right on the waterfront, it resembles a Viking ship and symbolises adventure, discovery, and hope, with the sea and mountains providing a stunning backdrop. It’s especially beautiful at sunrise or sunset, when the light reflects off the steel and the views across the bay are at their best. The area around it is peaceful and ideal for a walk, with great photo opportunities in every direction. Simple yet powerful, Sun Voyager is a must-see landmark that combines art, history, and scenery in a very memorable way.

Very cold near sea during winter. Sun Voyage Beach is a beautiful and relaxing spot. The views are amazing, the atmosphere is peaceful, and it's a perfect place to unwind. I really enjoyed my time here clean surroundings, calm waves, and a great place to spend a few hours. Definitely worth visiting!

An avant-garde sculpture located along the seaside, it attracts many tourists who stop to take commemorative photos. On clear days, you can see the opposite shore beautifully, so if you plan to take pictures, it’s best to do so with the sea in the background.

It looks beautiful, with the incredible mountains, whiter than a fresh piece of paper, and the ocean cleaner than my teeth after brushing for 2 minutes, it really is an absolute dessert to come and view, it is like having your birthday, christmas, and lottery win all on the same day. The statue makes me feel like I am a voyage, and I have been blessed with arriving in this beautiful place

This is a neat photo opportunity if you’re in the area, but I wouldn’t go too far out of the way for it. It’s really just the sculpture, usually crowded with lots of people, so getting a good photo is rather hard anyways. Nice views of the bay and the city though.
